IMO GUBER 2019: OKOROCHA TARGETS MBAITOLI, NGOR-OKPALA, OTHERS – PROMISES BRUTE FORCE, BLOOD AGAINST IMO PEOPLE, FLOODS MBAITOLI WITH GUNS
AS EX-MILTANTS, CULTISTS TURN OKOROCHA’S AGENTS
– SENIOR OKOROCHA CONFESSES
It is no longer news that Governor Rochas Okorocha has promised the people of Imo State nothing but hell, anguish and brutality if such are the only prerequisite to making his former maid and driver turned son-in-law, Uche Nwosu governor.
Making real his threats, so many people have fallen victims already. Since the public pronouncement of his son-in-law as his would be successor, Imo has known no peace. The only certainty that pervades the length and breadth of the state is nothing but patches of sadness and insanity.
Okorocha’s older brother’s testimony is not different from what News Round – News Cracker’s intelligence. Our undercover correspondent had brought to our knowledge of threats to Madumere’s life. According to our reporter, Okorocha had directed his security agents to ensure that his Deputy is hounded and cowed and possible do anything at all to him to ensure that he fails in booths and his wards,
Corroborating what Okorocha senior said, Paulo, a former soldier and Okorocha’s personal security while discussing with fellow believers in Okorocha’s son-in-law’s project also boasted: “there is no how Ugwumba will lose this election. Oga has INEC in his kitty and Ugwumba has seen these people one on one and taken care of them. There is no way Ugwumba no go win;” he stated
For Soronnadi Emmanuel, All progressives Congress Youth leader from Obazu, he said he has raised alarm over high degree threats t lives and property in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo State. He accused Okorocha of plots to assassinate the Deputy Governor and to shoot the people so as to dissuade them from voting their choice candidates, describing such as the highest level of ignominy for a governor who came to power on the basis of the will of the people. He called on President Mohammadu Buhari and Inspector General of Police to take Okorocha’s threats serious and act accordingly to avoid wanton loss of lives and property.
He recalled how Okorocha had claimed victory at gun point during Presidential and National Assembly Elections on February 23, 2019. “Okorocha we all knew failed in his booths. He even snatched his own booths and abducted polling unit officers to doctor results. We go this information from his people. The height of it was what he did to Prof. Vincent Ibeabuchi, the INEC Returning Officer, holding him hostage for almost two days. He was beaten and rough handled to announce a result, which Okorocha never won. This matter must be taken seriously.”
It will be recalled that for the past three years of the present political dispensation, the only project that will readily come to the minds of most citizens is Governor Rochas Okorocha’s engaging moments laboring hard to foist his former maid and driver turned son-in-law, Uche Nwosu on the people of Imo State.
This singular project has brought all the government activities to ground zero as every penny captured in the budget is allegedly being diverted to the project leaving the citizenry groaning and in anguish. It will be recalled that Imolites had lost 30% of their supposed salaries. N26.7 billion bailout funds from the federal government was alleged to have been diverted and large chunk of it, still, alleged to have been stolen in the house of the Chairman of Bailout fund Committee, Mr. Nwosu.
Meanwhile, it was reported that N3.2 billion had been shared among militants, thugs and cultists who will be doing the dirty job of shooting sporadically, snatching ballot boxes and sensitive materials. The intention is to scare people away and allow them the opportunity of stealing in ballot papers and tucked them into the ballot boxes. They are also meant to abduct electoral officers to perfect their nefarious activities.
Mbaitoli is not alone in this plot. Ngor Okpala where Okorocha Secretary to the State Government , Sir George Eche and his former Information Commissioner, Chief Theodore Ekechi hail from. Okorocha has also threatened to demystify them by dealing with and chasing them away from their wards during the Saturday elections. These targets are the biggest local governments in the state with largest voting power in the state. Okorocha is aware that he has lost popularity. His son-in-law is also unpopular because of his relationship with Okorocha.
