Tragedy in Imo: University built by Okorocha joined other collapsed projects

While Imo State is littered with failed projects, another tragic incident of building collapsed has occurred.

A block of a supposed lecture hall has collapsed in Imo State University, Mbaise-Ngor Okpala campus.

Recall that a block of lecture hall in Imo State University main campus Owerri built by Okorocha was at the verge of collapse before the exit of Okorocha as a governor. the said building is on life support with extra columns cast around it to serve as reinforcement.

Two of of his supposed legacy fly-over projects have been abandoned following its failure to meet the expected standard. It will be recalled that COREN had raised alarm over those bridges, allying fear of collapse and its calamitous effects.

The bridge leading to the former governor’s home town, Ogboko has totally collapsed following non usage of steel reinforcement while slabs were being cast.

Totally all the roads in the state have collapsed.

As it stands today, people have been warned to stay away from any projects built or constructed under Okorocha until re-certified by relevant agencies.
