He also said that he believes in Governor Ihedioha and that he will take a path of honour towards ensuring the State is recovered from its present state of devastation.
“I am happy that the Deputy Governor is here. I believe they will surely thread a path of honour. I must say that Imo has been unlucky with bad leadership but the present Government has no reason to fail. They must have learnt their lessons.

“I wish to also appeal to the Governor to allow Professor Adaobi Obasi complete her tenure, advising him to yield to pressure and human temptation that some people may put on him. I know that the Governor has got appreciable experience in governance and with his very wide exposure, he would do the right thing. “Continuity is of great importance in functional education system. Imo has suffered greatly in all sectors, and more worrisome is the education sector because there lies the future of the State and the country at large.”
Chief Ekeh who was also the Guest Lecturer delivered a lecture on the Character of a budding entrepreneur, where he used his experience as a model.
NewsTrack had reported that Prof. Adaobi Obasi received an award on the administrative prowess she has shown over time in piloting the affairs of Imo State University.
NewsTrack checks revealed that there has been disquiet in the University over the behind the scene clamour by some members of the Staff of the University to remove Prof.Adaobi Pbasi as the Vice Chancellor of the institution, a call that has not augured well in the school.
Recall that Okorocha’s administration was known for its notoriety of sacking Vice Chancellors of Imo State University, among who Prof. Obasi was among with Beb Nwoke, and Professor Ukachukwu Awuzie.
According to one of the lecturers who spoke on the condition of anonymity, he said:
“What most do not understand is that University is an intellectual environment. It is absolutely wrong to change Vice Chancellors as though they are politicians. Every Vice Chancellor has set goals and objectives, it will be foolhardy for anybody to believe that such uncertainty will not affect such set goals”.
NewsTrack can also reveal authoritatively that the present Vice Chancellor of the University is loved by most students as most of them confessed to her style if administration and motherly approaching towards learning and administration.
