Madumere mourns evangelist Bonnke’s death
The immediate past Deputy Governor of Imo State, Prince Eze Madumere mourns the death of Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke, describing him as a true man of God who affected lives positively through his unadulterated messages.
Prince Madumere’s thoughts were captured in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media & Publicity, Uche Onwuchekwa
The former Deputy Governor however called on Christians to emulate the virtues of Bonnke who made did not only preach Jesus Christ but lived the life of Christ.
According to the statement: “It was shocking to me when I received the news that the revered Reinhard Bonnke is no more. He was a true disciple of our Lord Jesus Christ and he preached unadulterated word of God.
“It is a big blow in the Christendom and we have lost a great evangelist who believed in the righteousness of our Lord Jesus Christ.
“Reading through the news, I understand that he died peacefully with his family members all around. Once again, we have a model Christian who was not into evangelism because of stomach.
“I call on Christians to be wary of those self acclaimed men of god whose stock in trade is to deceive unsuspecting masses in the guise of miracle while the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ suffers”
Meanwhile, the former Deputy Governor believes that God will grant Bonnke’s family the grace to bear the pain of missing their loved patriarch.
