Hon. Idirisu greets constituency at Yuletide, Promises quality representation

The lawmaker representing Ajaokuta Federal Constituency, Hon. Idirisu Mohammadu Lawal has felicitated the people of his constituency at Yuletide, assuring them of quality representation.
The business mogul turned politician’s remark is contained in a statement by him.
Hon. Idirisu also thanked the people of his constituency for believing in him and for their massive support in the last elections.
Recall that court had ordered for a rerun at some polling units, where Idirisu, a candidate of All Progressives Congress, also won by defeating his Peoples Democratic party challenger, Mr. Okino with over four thousand votes.
In his statement, he also expressed gratitude to Governor Yahaya Bello and promised to continue to work with him and other progressives to bring the required dividends to the people of Ajaokuta and the state at large.
While celebrating with the Christian community on the birth of the Lord Jesus Christ, he urged to reflect and relive the joy his birth brought to the world because of his sacrifice for the salvation of mankind,
He also reeled out some of his achievements as the member of House of Representatives representing the people of Ajaokuta federal constituency.
The message reads:
“Felicitation to my good people of Ajaokuta at Yuletide
“My good people of Ajaokuta, it is from the bottom of my heart that I bring you greetings at Yuletide.
“First and foremost, let me use this forum to thank you for finding me worthy to represent you at the federal house of representatives, National Assembly where through your support and massive votes, you reelected me to  be represent you for the second time.
“Rest assured that I will not derail or deviate from my electoral promises to you. On my honour, I will work closely with our Governor, His Excellency, Yahaya Bello to ensure that the interest of our constituency and the state is protected.
“You may recall that in a bid to kick start the revamping of the greatest asset our country need for her development,  which is fortunately on our soil, in concert with our Governor, I led a delegation of over 100 members of National Assembly to Ajaokuta Rolling Steel Mill led by the then Speaker, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara.
“Today, to the glory of God, our  President has graciously approved the revamping of Ajaokuta Steel Mill, having concluded arrangement with the Russian firm. The Memorandum of Understanding will be signed  come January 2020.
“You are all aware  that I have always fought to ensure that what is your rights get to our people despite distractions from my bbrothers who felt  that it must  be them. However I don’t consider them as setbacks but beauty of democracy though it comes with a price. I was able to sponsor five bills and of course with fifteen resounding motions.
“My dear people of Ajaokuta, Yuletide is here again when most of our people come home because of the holiday, especially our Christian brothers who will be celebrating the birth of the Lord Jesus Christ. As I celebrate with them, I urge them to use this period to reflect on the the joy the birth of Jesus Christ brought to the world. Such sacrifices for the salvation of man should be our guide us in our relationships with our brethren.
“And for our the motorists and riders, I pray that you may observe all safety regulations as you ride and drive to live and not to die. Drink responsibly because we love you because it is when you are alive that you will join hands with us to uplift the state.
“As we usher in New Year, I urge us all to renew our strength and be more creative in whatever we do. Rest assure that our Governor is a listening leader and he will surely play a role where necessary to uplift the welfare of our people and motivate us towards as we join hands in building Kogi State of collective dream.
“Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year!”
