Imo Guber appeal: Former SSG distances self from group praying Apex court to nullify election

It is no longer news that the apex court may be delivering judgement over appeal before it that boarders on Imo governorship petition asking it to nullify the Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha as winner.

A group of politicians who are said to be close to Okorocha had allegedly surruptitiously concocted names as ‘Concerned Imo Leaders’.

The said amorphous group had made case in support of nullifying the election that brought Ihedioha into power as published in the edition of last Friday ThisDay Newspaper.

According to our investigations, most of the names stolen into the publication as signatories are claiming ignorance as to how their names appeared in the said publication.

Meanwhile, some of the are more interested in formerly debunking this through the conventional media, one of the personalities alleged to have been one of the secretaries who happens to be a former Secretary to the State Government under Okorocha led regime, Sir Jude Ejiogu has denied and disowned those behind the said publication.

According to a rejoinder signed by his media consultant, Mr. Ikenna Onuoha, Sir Ejiogu said he was criminally robed into the said publication.

He said he had never been invited for any meeting of such nature let alone getting involved in such discussion.

He described those behind the publication as mischief makers while totally absolving himself from the said publication since he was totally naive of the whole issue and its essence.

Below is the spirit of Sir Jude Ejiogu’s rebuttal:

“Re: Imo Governorship Case: The Task Before The Supreme Court

“Our attention has been drawn to an advertorial on both ThisDay Newspapers of Friday, January 10th, and Sunday Nation of January 12th, 2020 by a so-called Concerned Imo Leaders.

“In the said advertorial, the name of the former Secretary to the Government of Imo State (SGI), Sir Jude Ejiogu was criminally roped in as one of those Imo Leaders that endorsed and sponsored the publication.

“The truth of the matter is that, Sir Jude Ejiogu has never been invited to any meeting of such nature where issue of sponsorship of the said publication was discussed.

“In as much as these mischief makers have the right to deliberate any issue of their concern, the name of the former SGI should not have been included or mentioned in the story since he is totally naive of the whole thing.

“Consequence upon this, we affirm and inform the public that at no point did Sir Jude Ejiogu authorized any person or group of persons to include his name in the said publication on ThisDay Newspapers, and as such, should disregard it.

“We regret any inconveniences the dubious inclusion of the former SGI’s name in the advertorial would have caused the public.
