NURTW match streets of Owerri for Governor Uzodinma
The National Union of Road Transport workers (NURTW)lmo State, Thursday, held a pro_Uzodimma solidarity march
The members of the union drawn from all their 27 branches of the 27 local government of the state troupe out en mass in solidarity to the lmo State governor,His Excellency ,Governor Hope Uzodimma
The governor while addressing the mammoth crowd gathered at the entrance of the government house, stated that his administration will not interfere in the leadership matter of the union. “Our government will work and recognise any body that the union will present to her as the authentic chairman.”
The governor also observed that the NURTW is one of the most organized unions in the state.
He also admonished the people to do away with those who incite them against the government of the day
Meanwhile, he inform the sea of heads that he is ready to call the detractors to order saying that; “outright disobedience will be tantamount to facing the long arms of the law”
In the same vein, he gave lmo contractors who abandoned their work to go back to site on or before Tuesday or forfeit the contract
The governor assured lmo people of his readiness to transform the state and bring back peace in the state
Earlier in his address,the state Chairman of NURTW, Comrade Izuchukwu Okebaram told the governor that they were there to felicitate with the governor for his victory at the supreme court
And to assure him of their unflinching and unalloyed support to the APC led administration
