APC group hail Supreme Court judgment for returning Gov. Uzodinma

The members of the factional Association of Local Governments of Nigeria, ALGON, Imo State chapter led by the State Chairman,Hon. Chief Emeka Osuorji on Sunday told Nigerians and the international community that they are solidly behind the Supreme Court ruling that declared the APC candidate, Senator Hope Uzodinma as validly elected governor of Imo State.

The group unanimously commended the apex Court for the verdict, which they described as a landmark judgment, since it validated the mandate of the people on Uzodinma.

“Let the public take notice that we are in total support of our Governor and will do everything to defend the mandate freely given Gov.Uzodinma by the greatest number of Imo electorates. We restate our confidence in the Supreme Court of Nigeria and its infallibility and believe that the Apex Court cannot be cajoled into going back to send Imo people backward politically”, Chairman submitted.

At the briefing, the leader of the group described the earlier declaration of the Imo PDP 2019 Guber Candidate, Chief Emeka Ihedioha, as Governor by INEC as illegality, but extolled the Supreme Court for restoring the mandate of Imo State people for declaring Sen. Hope as Imo Governor.”

Meanwhile, the leadership of Imo Osuorji led faction of ALGON was on Monday, in Owerri, staged a ” One Million March” in support of Gov.Uzodinma’s Supreme Court Governorship declaration.

They griuomarched in their millions in the city of Owerri with placards, banner inscriptions and in solidarity to the victory of Gov.Hope Uzodinma as Imo Governor, even as they reassured their unalloyed support for APC led govt.of Sen.Hope.
