I insulted Uwajumogu to satisfy Okorocha, save my Job – Acho Ihim

The former speaker of Imo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Acho Ihim has hinted the reason why he called a press conference to insult late Senator Benjamin Uwajumogu.

The former Speaker made the startling revelation at the valedictory session held in Imo State House of Assembly in honour of the late lawmaker.

According to Ihim, during the days of political crisis in the state, the former Governor, Okorocha had asked him to insult Uwajumogu as a test to his loyalty or he would be booted out as the Speaker of the 8th Assembly.

Ihim said he had consulted late Senator Uwajumogu over the development.

To my surprise, “Senator Uwajumogu told me to go ahead and insult him. Then I called for a press briefing. I used the forum to insult him the way I felt. After that, I went back to him to tell him that I had finished insulting you.

” In response he said: “I hope with that your job is saved?”

He described Uwajumogu as a “good man whose heart was as large as he was.”
