Imo Athletes to be laid to rest Thursday, February 27

Bartholomew Nwachukwu, Imo wrestling champion will be buried on February 27, 2020 in his home town in Owerri North local government area of Imo State. He was aged 36.

Recall that Mr. Nwachukwu an Olympic hopeful was reported to have slumped and died as a result of an undisclosed ailment that may have resulted to exhaustion and cardiac arrest.

Meanwhile, it was also reported that had there been adequate health facilities, Nwachukwu’s life would have been saved even as he was said to have been unable to raise N5000 to go to the hospital for treatment.

When NewsTrack Nigeria visited Dan Anyiam, stadium, Tuesday, athletes were seen tasking each other to raise money for the burial of their late colleague.
