Madumere commends Governor Uzodinma on appointment of Prof. Njoku, Ikpamezie, Ebere others

The former Deputy Governor of Imo State, Prince Eze Madumere has commended Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma on the rest entire appointment of an erudite scholar, Prof. Henry Njoku, a renowned public and private sector expert.

Madumere stated this while responding to newsmen on the present appointments made by Senator Hope Uzodinma last Saturday.

He described Prof. Njoku’s appointment as well thought out and well deserving, saying that he will bring his wealth of experience as an academic and as a great policy maker whose experience in public and private sector would be very useful towards re-engineering the development plan of the state.

He also hailed Uzodinma for appointment of Mr. Innocent Ikpamezie and MacDonald Where as General Managers of Owerri Capital Development Agency (OCDA) and Imo State Environmental Transformation Commission respectively.

He however charged the new appointees appointed into various strategic positions to live up to expectation of the people and while helping Governor Uzodinma to achieve his set goals for the prosperity the state.

His words: “I must say that I am impressed with the appointments Governor Hope Uzodinma has made so far. It was natural and expected that Chief Cosmas Iwu, Chief Barr. Nnamdi Anyaehie and Barr C.O.C Akaolisa would be considered for the various principal posts they were appointed into. Without any doubt they are eminently qjalified. This also goes to his Chief Press Secretary who has been doing his job family and with high level professionalism.

“It is worthy of note to take notice of the most recent appointments. Of course Prof. Henry Njoku, and erudite scholar with deep knowledge of policy making with environmental sensitivity. I believe that it is a good one.

“You can also see that the youths have a special place in Uzodinma’s administration. The newly appointed Owerri Capital Development Agency, Innocent Ikpamezie, Hon. MacDonald Ebere for ENTRACO, the Sustainable Development Goal anchor, Mrs. Christina Udeh and of course the young man appointed as the Special Assistant on Youth Affairs. They may be new in the public service for but they certainly have the energy and that innovative hunger to make a mark.

“I will charge Uzodinma to be focused and put his ears on the ground to know the heartbeat of the people and sift those that have the far reaching positive effects, considering their feasibility.”

Prince Madumere also called for understanding of the people, calling on them to lend their support, believing that Senator Uzodinma will do well as a Governor.
