Oshiomole wins again, as APC postpones NEC meeting

Comrade Adam Oshiomole may have his pitfalls as a human but certainly will go down in history as a man who won many battles and survived many onslaughts even at moments of ambush.

Since the battle line was drawn in Edo State, leading to an outbreak of political warfare between Oshiomole and his godson, Governor Godwin Obaseki, everything ever known, including visible and invisible instruments have been unleashed, yet, there seem to be no victory in sight.

Obaseki leveraging on his position as Governor and dragging All Progressives Congress Governors to the battle and of course with willing tools in National Working Committee and instrumentality of the judiciary, yet Oshiomole like a cat with nine lives have survived all.

With the heat in the party and its concomitant effects that were already tolls on the party, President Muhammadu Buhari arising from a meeting with APC Governors may have called for the postponement of the National Executive Council meeting of the party, that was scheduled to hold on Tuesday, March 17, 2020.

This indefinite postponement took place after a meeting, which lasted for about thirty minutes at the State House, the leadership of the party decided to postpone the meeting.

Speaking on the postponement, the Chairman of the APC governors and governor of Kebbi state Mr. Atiku Bagudu told State House correspondents that the postponement is to allow the governors time to resolve all contending issues affecting the party.

This wise decision may have saved the party from a serious crack as Oshiomole and other politicians sympathetic to his ordeal may have vowed to tumble the boat.

It is hopeful that President Buhari’s intervention would give room for sincere reconciliation since such committee is already set up by the party.

Meanwhile, the battle line has been drawn as Tinubu, Gov. Ganduje among other powerful party leaders have vowed to ensure that Oshiomole is not disgraced out of office.

Oshiomole legacies are visible in the nooks and crannies of the country, even as his footprints still sound loud in Imo, Ogun, Osun, Bayelsa, Edo, Kogi Statea among others.
