Prince Madumere, Ekechi condole President Buhari, described Abba Kyari’s death as sad

Joining other leaders of note to mourn the passing of the Former Chief of Staff to the President, Former Deputy Governor of Imo State and APC chieftain with Chief Theodore Ekechi, member of North East Development Commission and an APC stalwart have condoled President Buhari over the transition of Mallam Abba Kyari.

Mallam Kyari had died of Covid – 19 and was aged 81.

In their separate statements, they both described his death as a big loss to the presidency as a dutiful technocrat who was deeply committed to the realisation of President Muhammadu Buhari’s campaign promises.

Prince Madumere described his death as a big blow to the nation especially under global health emergency, as he prayed God to console Kyari’s family and the Federal Government over his transition.

“Abba Kyari was very influential and dutiful in ensuring that President Buhari’s electoral agenda are carried to safe delivery. He will really be missed,” Madumere said.

The former Deputy Governor who advocated a national synergy against covid – 19, also used the opportunity to commiserate with other families that had lost their loved ones to Covid – 19.


In his reaction, Chief Ekechi described Kyari’s death as unfortunate.

“This is very unfortunate. It calls for a more proactive measure towards putting to an end this global ravaging scourge. I call on all and sundry to abide by all the prescribed health protocols and hygienic procedures”; he stated.

He further said that Kyari’s passing is ” a sad loss to President Buhàri, the Presidency and the kyari family”.
