Covid – 19: Imo lawmaker, Hon Nduka gives out Palliative items to constituents

As part of efforts to cushion the effect of the lockdown and stay at home directives of the federal and state governments, lawmaker representing Ehime Mbano State constituency in Imo State House of Assembly, Barr. Emeka Nduka has distributed food items to constituents.

Among the items distributed were bags of rice, cartons of noodles and food condiments to the eleven (11) wards in Ehime Mbano.

Hon. Nduka stated that the gesture is targeted at the poor to alleviate the sufferings they are going through as a result of stay at home policy and other strategies adopted as the world battles the Covid-19 pandemic.

He stressed that novel coronavirus is real and encouraged his constituents to keep to social distance instruction and adhere strictly to all safety standards prescribed to avoid the spread of the deadly virus.

He added that the items should be distributed without preference to party or religion. “I represent the entire people of Ehime Mbano state constituency and not just the All Progressives Congress ( APC)”, he stated .

He further urged his people to lens their support Governor Hope Uzodinma, saying that that his government has come to stay.

He uses the forum to commended Secretary to the State Government, Chief Cosmos Iwu and Special Adviser to the Governor, Chief Odionyenma Agugbue and others for their commitment to the government and the people of Ehime Mbano.

While addressing the women from across eleven (11) Autonomous Communities in his constituency, he expressed worries over their condition and uncomfortable situation the lockdown has caused, urging them to exercise more patience since it is for good of every citizen.

Chief Agugbue thanked the lawmaker for providing succur to indigents and less privileged in the local government.

Meanwhile, Hon. Nduka thanked the Chairman of Interim Management Committee of Ehime Mbano, Chidi Okechukwu and other Governorment Appointees, including Chief Regis Uwakw, Hon. Austin Nwachukwu and Hon. Engr. Chukwu for their time and patience while the event lasted.

On his part, Hon. Egbe Franklin Afam , another illustrious son of Ehime Mbano and philanthropist advised the people of the local government to always remember, Hon. Nduka in their prayers, adding that despite the little time he has spent in the State House of Assembly, he shown good spirit of leadership.

He further expressed joy at the gesture, describing him as a transparent man. He prayed God to continue to bless and add more grace in his political future.
