Madumere salutes Nigerian workers on May Day, says they are resilient

Former Imo Deputy Governor, Prince Eze Madumere has hailed Nigeria workers, praising their industrious and resilience as the world celebrates them today.

According to Prince Madumere’s goodwill message was expressed in a statement by his Special Adviser, Uche Onwuchekwa.

While extolling their enduring spirit to ensure that the wheel of country’s prosperity does not grind to a halt, he insists that they deserve much more than get in return.

He however frowned at the continued casualisation of workers in most establishments, describing it as inhuman and slavery. He called on the labour unions to rise to the occasion and ensure that such is nipped in the bud.

The former APC Governorship aspirant and one time State chief labour negotiator, describe Imo workers as most understanding and competent.

The statement also used the medium to praised Medical Workers for their sacrifices, working round the clock to ensure that Nigerians do not lose the battle against the ravaging global pandemic, Covid – 19.

The statement reads:

“Former Deputy Governor of Imo State, Prince Eze Madumere profoundly salutes Nigerian workers on this auspicious of Workers Day, May Day.

“He hails the industry, resilience and competence of Nigerian work force. We cannot talk about the prosperity of this Nation without the effort and inputs of Nigerian workers. Nothing at all can be commensurate to their sacrifices to ensure that our economy does grind to a halt.

“Prince Madumere who was one time State labour negotiator specifically hail Imo workers. They are most understanding and yet very competent.

“The former Deputy Governor specially salute Nigerian medical workers for their courage, determination and sense of sacrifice to confront the dreaded Covid – 19 pandemic despite its ravaging effects of infected.

“He hails President Mohammadu Buhari for his magnanimity and special recognition for the health workers with express executive order to ensure there is improved welfare and other assurances as it concerns their families.”
