JUST IN: Governor Obaseki dumps APC

Ruing from the lingering crises with bis estranged godfather, Adams Oshiomole, Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has dumped the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

He announced his resignation from the party on Tuesday after meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

The governor, who was disqualified from APC Edo primaries in controversial circumstances, is expected to pitch his tent with the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

It is now obvious that battle for the soul of Edo State government house will surely be a war of attrition.

As various political blocs are already blowing bits with external forces berthing in the political waters of the State, no one can say certainly how it will end.
