BREAKING: APC NEC dissolves NWC, Swears in Yobe Governor Caretaker Committee Chair

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in a surprise reaction to the raging crisis in the party,Thursday, dissolved its national working committee during an extraordinary National Executive Council Meeting.

Meanwhile, Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State has taken the Oath of Office as Chairman, Caretaker Committee as approved by NEC.

This step to save the party from further derailing was disclosed by the presidential aide Tolu Ogunlesi.

“Major shake-up in Nigeria’s ruling party APC, as National Executive Council (NEC) meets at the State House,” Ogunlesi tweeted. “National Working Committee (NWC) dissolved.”

This shake-up took place following the recommendation of President Muhammadu Buhari during the virtual NEC meeting.
