JUST IN: I Never Hired Thugs To Disrupt Burial I knew Nothing About, HRH Eze Osuji Fumes 

The Traditional Ruler of Obi-Mbieri Autonomous Community in Mbaitoli local government areas of Imo state, His Royal Highness Eze Dr. Josiah Ezemereibe Osuji has debunked the rumour making the rounds that he hired over twenty thugs to stop his late Uncle’s wife’s burial, Mrs. Louis Osuji.

Eze’s clarification was sequel to a publication recently made by Mr. Adolphus Osuji in some local tabloids in the state including DailyPost Nigeria, accusing the monarch of locking them out of the family compound since six months using the military to stop his mother’s burial.

In a release signed by the palace secretary of the community, Chief Clifford Ukwujiaku, the allegations have been described as baseless and unfounded.

The release said that Mr. Adolphus Osuji is not a member of Osuji Akpakaeme family but of Meforom’s hence, cannot force himself into Osuji’s dynasty just to partake in the sharing of Osuji’s estate.

It further said that, “His Royal Highness Eze Josiah Ezeremibe Osuji, Eze Ukwu I of Obi-mbieri autonomous community, remains the only bonafide son of Osuji Agbakaeme lineage and to describe him as a ‘foster son’ by the renegade Adolphus Osuji is an abomination.

“That the monarch is one of the most peaceful and philanthropic Traditional Rulers in Imo state that has greatly contributed to the peaceful coexistence of the community and immediate family especially with infrastructural developments and projects too numerous to mention.

“That Eze Josiah Osuji is the oldest and eldest son of Osuji’s dynasty hence is currently not aware of the death of the said Uncle’s wife, Mrs. Louis Osuji as such has not been communicated with him.

“That the traditional ruler is not aware of any burial or burial date of the said Uncle’s wife or anybody in Osuji’s family, talk more of stopping same.

“The entire Obi-mbieri autonomous community regrets the unguarded utterances and derogatory comments of Mr. Adolphus Osuji against the monarch.”

Furthermore, the release disclosed how Mr. Adolphus Osuji has tremendously benefitted from the Traditional Ruler’s largesse and philanthropy.

It said, “all my buildings in Nigeria, he built. All my goods and businesses, he managed and supervised. All importations my companies made in recent times, Adolphus was in charge. He was like my manager, my Chief of Staff.

“When he contested for and won his councillorship election, I funded it. I take care of the family in everything. He has made over 200million naira from me but ask me today what he used the money to do, nothing.

“He could not build a house in the village neither does he have a land or compound in the village. He goes around telling people that I locked him out, how? Has he any house in the compound, the answer is no. His only grudge against me is that I told him and his brothers including his late mother to make available all the 14 big portions of lands in their custody handed over to their late father on trust till I grow up. Now that I have grown up, I have come to them to demand for those lands. All they told me is that their father is my father’s son and I am a foster son and has no right to ask for the family property.

“Their late father, Ebenezer and my own father Osuji Agbakaeme had no blood relationship of any kind. The said Ebenezer was my father’s servant in those days, by virtue of this, he knew everything about my father’s property. I was only three year when my mother died and my elder sister, Comfort took me to Lagos.

“In my absence over the years as a toddler, my father, late Osuji Agbakaeme handed over all his landed properties to Late Ebenezer, their father on trust. Today, they don’t want to release those lands to me.

“They have even sold many and misused the money. They took their mother away who was better off in my house so that she wouldn’t show me the lands. Now they are accusing me of hiring thugs to stop their mother’s burial. This is not true. I’m not even aware that their mother is dead.

“It is unfortunate that Adolphus started the media propaganda and blackmail with defamatory comments against my person. He forgot the matter is still ongoing in High Court. They want me dead so that they will intimidate, harrass and threaten my children and eventually take my fathers inheritance. I’m not aware that my Uncle’s wife died, if its true, I should have been informed.

“The uniform men you see in my house were given to me by the IGP upon application to him as a traditional ruler. They are only for security, nothing else. My regret is that all my efforts to make Adolphus somebody met brickwalls and that’s why he continues to see my father’s inheritance as his only means of survival.

“The earlier he stops all this blackmail against me, the better for him because no amount of propaganda will make him a son of my father Osuji Agbakaeme or qualify him to partake in the sharing of the family property,” the monarch concluded.
