#ENDSARS: Fed. Governments Moves To Take Youths Off The Streets, Reopens NYSC Camps

Following the aggressive protests that have rocked activities in most economically strategic states, the Federal Government in one of its strategies to take the youths off the streets has reopened National Youths Service Corps Orientation Camps Nationwide.

This directive is coming after over seven months closure of the NYSC Orientation camps following the outbreak of the dreaded coronavirus, Covid – 19.

The sudden change in stance may not be unconnected with the raging #ENDSARS protests across the country, which has not only affected economic activities but have also affected the image of the nation across the world.

The Minister of Youths and Sports, Sunday Dare, announced the development via his Twitter handle on Thursday, saying that NYSC Orientation camps resume across the country on November 10th, 2020.

“The resumption of the NYSC Orientation Camp for prospective Youth Corps members has been approved and opens on November 10th, 2020.

“Full COVID-19 Protocols will also be enforced,” he said.

Meanwhile there has been reports of pro-police armed thugs who had attacked ENDSARS protesters around Alausa, Lagos state.

In the same vein, pro police protesters have also emerged, describing the ongoing protests as blackmail.
