RAGE: Nigeria Bleeds As Army, Police Accused Of Killing, Maiming Armless Youths

Anger pervades the country as footages on social media and other credible sources have shown gory and obscene painful killings and varying degrees of injuries inflicted on unarmed Nigerian youths.

Though there have been reports of denial from Nigerian Military, the footages also show trigger happy soldiers shooting directly at the #EndSARS protesters after turning off the streets lights at Lekki toll gates.

The denial may have been ruptured following the Governor of Lagos , Babajide Sanwo-Olu testimonies and visits to the hospitals to see some of the casualties.

Casualties are mounting though the exact numbers are not yet known even as some reports have put the casualties at 49.

meanwhile, mobs are reported to have torched Oriental Hotel at Lekki, BRT Buses at Oyingbo, Police Station in Orile, Nigeria Ports Authority among other infrastructures.

It was also reported that TVC TV Station has been razed by angry youths even as one of the presenters was seen in a video expressing fear, saying that they were under attack.

Meanwhile, most Nigerians have been condemning the killings and destruction of lives and property.

Thirteen States of the federation have slammed 24 hour curfew with Lagos State taking the lead.

According to Reuters, four witnesses told news agency that soldiers fired at the protesters who had gathered in the Lekki district of Nigeria’s largest city in defiance of an indefinite curfew imposed hours earlier by the authorities.

Hundreds of people were at the site at the time of the shooting, which witnesses said took place around 7pm local time (18:00 GMT).

“They started firing ammunition toward the crowd. They were firing into the crowd,” said Alfred Ononugbo, 55, a security officer. “I saw the bullet hit one or two persons,” he said.

“Inyene Akpan, 26, a photographer, said more than 20 soldiers arrived at the toll gate in Lekki and opened fire. He said he saw two people being shot. Akinbosola Ogunsanya, a third witness, also told Reuters he saw soldiers remove bodies.”

In DJ Switch accounts, she exposed gory motion pictures of the wounded and footages of the shooting spree by unknown soldiers with machine guns spraying live bullets indiscriminately.
