EndSARS Protest: Akagburuonye Sues For Peace

Following the ongoing protest in some states of the federation  including Abuja by  the youths of Nigeria, Chief Success Obioma Akagburuonye has added his voice in the Clarion calls by eminent Nigerians asking the protesters to immediately shield their swords in the overall interest of the nation.

Akagburuonye who is the Founder and  National Leader of Hope Rising for Imolites , a subsidiary of Global Support for Nigeria, a non governmental organization (NGO),  that drums support for good governance and sustenance of democracy in Nigeria made the  passionate appeal in a press statement issued on Sunday through Everest Ezihe, his Media  Adviser.

He pointed out that the essence of the protest which is non violence is now defeated as violence has taken precedent at the detriment of the nation.

According to him ” The protests have taken a drastic dimension. There’s an indication that hooligans have infiltrated the protest and are causing mayhem to the nation. The burning of government, institutions and individual buildings and properties are inhuman and an act of unpatriotism. These deserve condemnation and must stop” he insisted.

Chief Akagburuonye who’s a 2018 United Nations (UN) award winner for Philanthropic services and Poverty Alleviation in Nigeria applauded President Muhammadu Buhari for answering the wake up calls and responding to crucial demands of the real protesters as well as advancing the cause for the sustenance  of the nation’s  brotherly love and unity of purpose.

He noted that the extent of the protest so far have put some dents on the nation’s international image and called for a dialogue as a strategic approach in resolving all the contentious issues and moving the nation forward.

While also commending Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State for his timely intervention in appealing to the protesters in his state especially as it concerns  the need to maintain peace and stability justifying his promptness in addressing their complaints and grievances.

Akaraugo 1 na Mbaise as he is popularly known further advised Imo youths  to listen to the voices of wisdom of the state government and give their maximum support to the Shared Prosperity and 3R administrative mantra of Senator Uzodimma reiterating that the Governor means well to the populace, adding also that nothing good ever comes out of crisis.

The NGO National Leader noted his conviction in throwing his weight behind the calls for a national conference, assuring that the sovereign national conference would certainly address the nation’s lingering issues that borders on restructuring and implementation of true federalism.
