Imo Government Partners ‘Hope Rising’ For Good Governance


Considering their commitments to good governance and uplift of the welfare of Imo populace, Chief Batos Nwadike has given assurance of the willingness of Imo State Government to partner with members of Hope Rising for Imolites.


Nwadike who is Special Adviser on Political Matters to Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State disclosed this on Tuesday when the group which is an affiliate of Global Support for Nigeria, a non governmental organization (NGO), that drums support for good governance and sustenance of democratic tenets in Nigeria with their Founder and National Leader ,  Barr. Success Obioma Akagburuonye had an interactive parley with him in Owerri.


According to him ” I have listened to your mission and vision. I have seen the Calibre of personalities that constitutes your membership, so many of whom in the recent past I have had one dealing or the other with and I wasn’t disappointed. I will surely present all our deliberations today to Governor Uzodimma and I can assure you of his willingness to partner with your group. Your patriotism and philanthropy cannot be taken for granted,” he assured.


The Political icon noted his willingness to ensure that the Governor honour their inauguration while informing that the Shared Prosperity and 3R administrative mantra of the state government is anchored on motivational reward system.


While advising members of the sociopolitical NGO on the need for loyalty and believe in their leadership, he further described Governor Uzodimma as good and courageous leader with milk of human kindness, empathy and compassion for humanity and society at large and solicited for patience and understanding.


Earlier, the Founder and National Leader of the group, Chief Akagburuonye revealed that he has known Senator Hope Uzodimma ( Onwa Oyoko) for over 20 years  and that the Distinguished Senator right from inception has been a foundation member of Global Support for Nigeria.


He pointed out efforts the group is making to issue it’s inauguration in the state before the end of the year while soliciting the masses support and unalloyed cooperation to the Governor whom he said means well to the state.


The National Leader who hails from Ogbor in Oke Uvuru clan in Abor Mbaise LGA of the state recalled that during the Endsars protest that the entire police stations in Mbaise ancient kingdom were burnt down except the one in his community which the youths guided and protected jealously because of the love and respect they have for him as he spoke to them and coupled with his philanthropic empowerments to them. 


Adding his voice, Dr. Chris Nwando from Ideato South opined that the group is inspired to support the state government based on their vision for probity and accountability as well as the Governor’s commitment in touching lives.


Nwando commended Barr. Akagburuonye for his patriotism and philanthropic nature while assuring him of their maximum support in achieving his set goals and objectives for the state.


Similarly, Dr. Mrs Ngozi Aririguzo, the group’s State Women Mobilizer while expressing gratitude to the state government for purposeful leadership and human oriented governance so far, she reiterated  the NGO’s commitment in advancing the good programmes and policies of the state government.


Aririguzo further pointed out that in all administrative endeavors that men are the head while women are the neck that plays a pivotal role, she canvassed for free medical treatment to women as well as qualitative education for all.

However, Hon. Gozie Nwachukwu noted that the NGO is on the vanguard of positively changing the narratives of the state government acceptance and support from the populace and solicited for working tools.


Nwachukwu described Governor Uzodimma as a man with soul and conscience and doesn’t have failure in his dictionary insisting that members of the group are committed to act as ambassadors of the state government among the populace and especially the rural dwellers.


Finally, Chief CC. Njoku from Nkwerre expressed the need for provision of palliatives so as to alleviate the suffering of the masses just as  Hon. Bernard Nwanedo , from Abor Mbaise pledged the group unalloyed support and cooperation to the state government and her citizens.
