Imo Youth Entrepreneur,  Ohawuchi Makes Case For Widows, Orphans, Chides Selfish Politicians

An Imo State born entrepreneur, Ikechukwu Ohawuchi has called on the people of Imo State who are well-to-do to make sacrifices for the downtrodden.

Ohawuchi made the statement, Monday, on his birthday, which was marked on a very low profile in strict compliance with Covid-19 protocol.

Addressing some less than 15 friends and well wishers in an outdoor sit out, he said: ” I am most grateful to God for keeping alive and for what I have become as a young man.

“I have called very few of you to join me in prayers and Thanksgiving to God who has made it possible for me to mark another birthday. It is by his grace and mercies.

“I know most of you may have been expecting some kind of groove. No. I went to my village in Orlu and visited some families, I realised that some people are really facing hardship and turbulent times.

“That has been what has preoccupied my thoughts. Instead of grooving to the high heavens with the dangers of Covid-19, I have chosen to visit those group of people who are in dire need of help to feed and open small trade.

“I want to also used this forum to request of you to reach out to those ones who need help starting from your immediate family then out there.
“Very soon, I will be calling you to join hands with me to show love to widows, orphans and less privileged in my place.

“I am moved to say that some of our politicians are very selfish to the extent that some of them forget that they came from a place where the very poor still exist.

“There is blessing in giving and there is blessing in coming with strategies through good governance to fight and prevent poverty. 

“Young people like us must not only be known for rascality. We must begin to position ourselves to the call for leadership; And call for leadership is about responsibility and if we do this, God will surely grant us our heart desires.

“Thank you all for coming.”
Meanwhile, the high point of the calm event was prayers and words of exhortations from few friends and associates and ended with dinner.
