Former Deputy Governor of Imo State, Prince Eze Madumere has described the passing of the first Military Governor of Old Imo State as a big blow.
Madumere described late Military Governor, Rear Admiral Ndubuisi Kanu (RTD) as a sage who remained tireless to the course of development of Igbo nation and Nigeria at large till death.
The statement signed by the former Deputy Governor’s Media Adviser, Uche Onwuchekwa, reads, “We have lost a gem, an intelligentsia and a patriotic mind who toiled and contributed immensely to the national development.
Madumere further said that late Kanu was a planner per Excellence who laid the foundation for old and today’s Imo State with a clear vision of what the future holds.
Rear Admiral Ndubuisi Kanu (RTD) reportedly died in the early hours of Wednesday, January 13, 2021.
Rear Admiral Ndubuisi Kanu (RTD) was aged 78.
