Ahiazu LG Chair Mourns Ojinere, Says He was A Man Of His Words
The Chairman of Ahiazu-Mbaise local government area of Imo State, Chief Larry Obinna Chikwe is grieving over the death of a seasoned politician and one of the leaders of Mbaise nation, Chief Emma Ojinere.
Late Ojinere who was 2019 All Progressives Congress (APC) Senatorial Candidate for Owerri Zone was reported to have died yesterday from an undisclosed illness.
Hon. Chikwe described him as a gentleman, polished politician who was a father figure and a supporter of the present Hope Uzodimma led government.
He however regretted not having a premonition about his death as he was with him a few hours before his death.
“We have lost a great leader, a good man and one of the foundational leaders of APC in Mbaise nation and Owerri zone.
“I am particularly pained by his death. He was more of a brother and a father to me. He was always there to advise me on best way to achieve best results for the benefit of our people and for the good image of All Progressives Congress.
“You can see that I am weak and downcast. I mourn with Ojinere family and pray God to grant us the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss. Indeed, his death has created a big gap, which only God can fill by His mercies.
“I pray God to accept his soul and grant him everlasting peace.”
