Uzodimma Congratulates Okonjo-Iweala on WTO Appointment
Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State has felicitated with the former Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister for Economy, Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala on her well deserved election as the Director General of the World Trade Organisation (WTO), saying her appointment is a thing of joy to Nigeria and Nigerians in particular and the world in general.
Governor Uzodimma said her appointment as the boss of the global body not only brings honour to Nigeria, but shows how Nigerians have continued to impact the world positively.
Governor Uzodimma said Dr. Okonjo-Iwuala’s track record of achievements as a renowned development economist places her in a position to take the WTO to a level that the whole world will be proud of because of het intelligence, meticulousness and education.
The governor said he has no doubt that Dr Okonjo-Iweala, whose track record in economic reform remains unparalleled will do her best to take her new office to greater height.
While wishing Dr. Okonjo-Iwuala the best in her new position, the Governor solicited support for her from all and sundry to enable her give her best in the interest of global economy and development.
