UPDATED: Bandits Abduct 300 School Girls In Zamfara

Suspected bandits in Hilux vehicles and a number of motorcycles in security unfroms have abducted over 300 students of GSS Jangebe in Talatar Mafara local government area of Zamfara.

They stormed the school around 1am on Friday.

The Nation gathered the first batch of bandits came went to the school premises, pretending security operatives before the arrival of the second batch.

Spokeman of the Zamfara Police Command SP Muhammad Shehu informed The Nation a statement on the incident would be issued in few hours.

This incident came a day after the State Government boasted of succeeding in the fight against banditry through its peace initiative.
