Impeached Imo Assembly Majority Leader, Ogbuagu Reacts
The deposed Majority Leader of Imo State House of Assembly, Hon. Uche Ogbuagu has reacted to his removal as the majority leader of Imo State House of Assembly.
Ogbuagu who represents Ikeduru State Constituency expressed surprise at the turn of events, claiming that he had already sent in a letter, which was presumed to be a resignation letter since he couldn’t explain the content of the letter.
He however called on the general public to disregard some reactions credited to him, describing them as fake news.
The release signed by Uche Ogbuagu himself reads:
” Ihave been informed this morning, on my way to the Chambers, of my removal as Majority Leader, Imo State House Of Assembly Owerri.
A position I ve held since March 24, 2020.
“I am however surprised that The Speaker Mr. Paul Emeziem decided to discountenance my letter to him yesterday, dated March 3,2021 and read that his Comic letter of Removal
“Since then, there have been bombardment of calls and SMS to me my phone lines concerned Imolites,
My constituents, Friends, colleagues and numerous Media Houses across the globe to confirm the incidence.
“I have so far not made any statement to any individual or group on this issue and so advise that any of such fake releases be disregarded.
“While I beg for time to study the development, consult with the party leadership and
in no distant time, make clear statements.
I thank you all for your overwhelming out-pour of love.
” I also implore all concerned citizens to remain calm.
What Matters is what Almighty God says about me and my political sojourn.
My future remains very green.
