The Commissioner nominees sent to the House of Assembly for ratification are to be screened on Thursday, March 11, 2021.
The screen was previously slated for Tuesday, March 9, 2021 as contained in a statement by Akogun Olugbenga Omole, Chairman House Committee on Information,Youth and Sports Development on Monday, March, 2021.
Sources in Ondo House of Assembly told NewsTrack Nigeria (newstrack.com.ng) that the postponement became necessary so as to give room for the nominees to handle their administrative processes and submit various documents required of them.
Governor Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu SAN had sent a list of four Commissioner nominees to the Ondo State House of Assembly for approval.
This was contained in a letter addressed to the Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon Oleyelogun.
The nominees include:
1.Mr Wale Akinterinwa, 2.Engr.Raimi Aminu Olayiwola, 3.Mr Donald Ojogo and 4. Sir Charles Titiloye.
Chairman House Committee on Information,Youth and Sports Development, Honourable Olugbenga Omole in a statement said the four nominees will appear before the Selection Committee of the House at 9.00am tomorrow 09/03/2021
The Speaker enjoined the nominees to be punctual in view of the importance attached to the screening.
