The week 17 NPFL match between Heartland Fc of Owerri and the visiting Warri Wolves of Delta State at the Dan Anyiam Sports Stadium Owerri which ended in 1-1 draw equally saw the Assistant Captain of Heartland Fc. Pascal Eze selected as the best player of the game.
The responsibility of selecting the best player from among the two teams was under taken by the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, (SWAN) Imo State Chapter.
Pascal Eze who plaid defense during the match was chosen based on his excellent performance and style of play with which he displayed to ward off opponent from penetratibg into defensive area during the 90 minutes encounter.
He was rewarded by the former Heartland Sporting Director and presently of Apex Crane Fc,also Tico/Select representative in Nigeria Ifeanyi Ekwueme.
Speaking to Sports Writers Association of Nigeria SWAN, the Assistant Captain Eze expressed joy for his selection however accepted the fact that his team mates actually put up a great fight to grab the 3 points but luck it ended 1-1 draw.
