Madumere Sues For Peace, Tolerance At Easter

The former Deputy Governor of Imo State, Prince Eze Madumere has joined other national leaders to felicitate Christians in Imo State and Nigeria at large describing the celebration as a sober one anchored on love and sacrifice.

Prince Madumere made the state in a statement by his Media Adviser, Uche Onwuchekwa.

The former Deputy Governor stated: “Easter celebration is the foundation of Christian faith occasioned by the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.

“He suffered, bore excruciating pains and died for those who cares less about him all in a bid to save man from eternal destruction.

“His death was the height of expression of love and sacrifice. Christ was a man of tolerance and that was why he could die for those who rejected him. He died on the cross of Calvary that we may be reconciled unto the Almighty Father and have everlasting life

“It should be our desire to live like Christ who tolerated all, forgave all and even die in our behalf.

“Nigeria is derailing because of lack of tolerance and sacrifices for one another.

“Our social justice system must be right and those at the helms of affairs must be sensitive to the plight of others.

“Again, no thieving politicians should be spared because such stealing are major factors successive governments lack money to raise the living standard of the people.

“Those politicians who convert public resources for personal use with impunity should be brought to book.

“These are the reasons Christ died on the cross of Calvary that such People may repent of their evil ways and lead the life of Christ otherwise they want Christ to die the second time.

“He therefore commend Uzodimma for his resolve to not only rehabilitate reconstruct but to recover stolen Imo resources.”

He called on Christians to emulate Christ and live by his principles.
