Intense Manhunt For Suspected Homosexual, Azunna

Luck ran out of two male adults, Azunna Lawrence and his lover, Mr. Chinonso Amadi who were caught making out in a public convenience at an unholy hour, an act that is against the extant laws of Nigeria, thereby eliciting call for their arrest, prosecution and appeasement of the gods of the land.

One of the alleged deviant love birds, Azunna Lawrence is at large as he had reportedly escaped even as the Community and the police are after them while his lover is still being held in a custodial.

Reacting to a recent petition written and addressed to the Commissioner of Police, dated 20th April, 2021 by one Mr. Ikenna Amadi, the criminal investigation department of the Nigerian Police force, Imo State Command has reportedly resumed manhunt for one Mr. Azunna Lawrence, accused and allegedly caught in a homosexual act with one Mr. Chinomso Amadi on the 12th of April, 2018.

According to the said petition made available to our reporter, the said Mr. Ikenna Amadi Lamented to the Police on why his brother Chinomso Amadi is languishing in prison custody while Mr. Azunna Lawrence is still at Large enjoying his freedom and walking freely on the streets.

The petitioner therefore, demanded that Justice be done in the said case by ensuring that Mr. Azunna Lawrence, who was involved in homosexual act with Mr. Chinomso Amadi is also arrested for possible prosecution, hence the resumed Manhunt.

Recalled that sometime on the 12th of April, 2018, the said Azunna and Chinomso were caught in the act of homosexualism inside a bathroom shared by residents in a co – habited compound somewhere in Owerri, the Imo State capital.

According to an eye witness, a neighbour who was to have his bath at about 8pm stumbled on the suspects in the act. The said neighbor raised alarm, calling out other neighbors in the compound who gathered as the scene to witness themselves the abomination.

Azunna and Chinomso were reportedly besieged and held down, waiting for arrival of the police Operatives for their arrest and confine in the custody for such heinous crime.

According to report, before the arrival of the police operatives at the scene of crime, one of the culprits, Azunna had escaped to an unknown destination till date.

Speaking to our correspondent via a telephone conversation, the family Lawyer to Mr. Azunna, Iyke Nwaopara said that the police are not alone in the manhunt.

According to Lawyer, “the community where Azunna comes from are also in demand of him for presentation to their gods/deity cum appeasement and banishment, having committed the said of act of homosexualism, an act which is seen as a taboo and abomination to the custom and tradition of his community.


As at press time however, the said Azunna Lawrence is still at large and his whereabouts is still unknown. He risks a 14 years jail term if arrested and prosecuted. He also risks banishment from his community or death for such an abomination.
