Just In: Fr. Mbaka Not In Our Custody – SSS

The The State Security Service, SSS, has said that the ‘missing’ Rev Fr Ejike Mbaka is not in their custody.

Report has it that protest is at present going on in front of the Catholic Bishop’s court in Enugu where Congregants and supporters of the missing Catholic Vicar, gathered, chatting and asking Bishop Callistus Onaga to produce Fr. Mbaka.

He was reported to have got missing two days ago after he reportedly went to see the Bishop.

The spokesman of the SSS, Peter Afunaya, however, in a report said that the service was not in possession of Fr. Mbaka. Afunaya.

His words: “Rev Fr Mbaka is not with the DSS. The DSS did not pick him up, please.”

Meanwhile, tension is building up in Enugu, the Coal city over the report.

Fr. Mbaka two days before he got missing had called on President Muhammadu Buhari to resign reeling out reasons of insecurity misrule.

The presidency through one of its spokesman, Garba Shehu had got back to Mbaka, alleging he chose to go against President Buhari because his requests for contracts through fronts was rejected.

The Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministry had also not denied the accusations but simply said he was only trying to extend a helping hand to the President in the area of security through those who came to him claiming they had all it takes to so handle.

According to Ohaneze Youth Council Leader, Mazi Okwu Nnabuife, the last was heard of the missing Rev. Father was on his way to answer a call from Bishop Callistus Onaga.
