Madumere Hails Obi Of Onitsha At 80, Says He Is A Forthright Ruler
The former Deputy Governor of Imo State, Prince Eze Madumere has joined other good spirited Nigerians to congratulate His Royal Majesty, Obi of Onitsha the 21st, Igwe Alfred Nnaemeka Achebe CFR, mni, on his 80th birthday.
The former Deputy Governor’s goodwill message was contained in a statement by his Adviser on Media and Publicity, Uche Onwuchekwa.
Prince Madumere who is also of Royalty described Obi of Onitsha as a good representative of Igbo traditional Institution, hailing him for his strength of character, candour, forthrightness and good sense of responsibility.
He further commended the Octogenarian for his contribution to the development of Onitsha, Anambra State and Nigeria.
The statement reads: “I wish to use this medium to celebrate with His Royal Majesty, Obi of Onitsha, Igwe Alfred Nnaemeka as he marks a landmark Birthday of 80.
“His Royal Majesty has been a source of pride to the people of Onitsha, Anambra State and indeed the South-East, having demonstrated high sense of responsibility, strength of character with requisite candour and respect as First Class Monarch.
“Your inputs in the development of Onitsha, Anambra and Nigeria at large, having had a distinguished career in various multinational corporations either at serving at the top echelon or having Chaired the boardroom.
“As you celebrate 80, I pray to God to grant you many more years even as your wealth of experience and wise counsel will continue to be sought by Nigerians.”
