Mbaise IMC Members Visit Uzodimma’s Commissioner, Pass Votes Of Confidence In 3R Govt

The IMC members and Leaders of Aboh, Ahiazu and Ezinihite Mbaise LGA, on Tuesday 15th, June, paid a courtesy visit to the immediate past Commissioner for Environment, Imo State, Dr Ikechukwu Njoku, to assure him of their support to the government Senator Hope Uzodimma.

The courtesy visit delegation which comprises of Hon Ugwuezumba O, Hon Jones Ndulewe and Hon Okey Ezem, stated that they came in solidarity with the Ex Commissioner and to give him the assurance that their loyalty to the governor is 💯%.

The spokesperson of the team and indigen of Ahiazu Mbaise Local Government Area, Hon Okey Ezem who is also the chairman of all the councilors in Imo State, described Njoku as a leader of impeccable character who has established strong political structures for APC and Governor Uzodimma in Mbaise community.

He hinted that the former Commissioner is a force to reckon with as long as the politics of Owerri zone and Mbaise in particular is concerned, adding that the councilors are happy with him and would continue to do their best in strengthening the strongholds of the party in the area.” Dr Iyke Njoku is a political bulldozer. He is a straight forward man.

He stood against those who wanted to suppress our party, APC, in Mbaise.
He does not eat alone, but rather he carries everyone along in politics.
With somebody like Iyke Njoku, Governor Hope Uzodimma has no problem in Mbaise, because everywhere is APC” he added.

Responding, Dr Njoku thanked them for coming out en mess to visit him, adding that such a visit has strengthened his confidence that he is not alone.

He enjoined the councilors to keep faith in the Governor as many good things are to come, even as he told them to beware of “food is ready policitians”.

He explained that Governor Uzodimma appreciates each of them, especially the way they mobilized people during the just concluded APC registration exercise.

Dr Njoku encouraged the councilors to remain loyal to the Governor whom he described as the leader of the party in the state, even as he asked those dreaming to take over the structure of the party from him (Governor) to wake up from their slumber as there can only be one captain in a boat.

The Dogged Politician further advised those wishing to replace Uzodimma in 2023 general elections to channel their energy towards supporting the Governor as his eight year tenure is non negotiable.

Dr Njoku further used the occasion to call on the councilors to carry out sensitization campaigns in their various LGA, stressing that the people of the area had made mistakes in the past by voting for the peoples Democratic Party, PDP, a practice which he said had affected Mbaise negatively.

He boasted that both Aboh, Ahiazu and Ezinihite Mbaise are strong holds of APC, which is manifest in the litany of PDP Chieftains and their supporters who had defected to APC in recent time. Hear him”, you all know how Governor Uzodimma fought to retrieve his mandate from the Supreme Court.

He was able to convince the court that he truly won the governorship election. So, we the people of Mbaise are no longer comfortable with the kind of politics our people play.
All these while, our people have been playing opposition and it has not helped us in anyway.

But this time, such practice must stop. We must go and inform our people to keep faith in Governor Hope
Uzodimma. He is a man of generous heart.

The entire Mbaise is APC.

You can see from our last party registration that it was a huge success. Everyone registered with our party.
It means we are doing well.
I urge you all to resist intimidation from party hijackers and remain firm with our leader, Most Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma”.

The highpoint of the occasion was the passing of a vote of confidence on Governor Hope Uzodimma by the IMC councilors and Leaders.
