Imo: LG Chair Celebrates Gov. Uzodimma Over Youths Empowerment

The Chairman of Ahiazu Mbaise Local Government Council, Hon. Larry Chikwe has poured encomium on the Governor of Imo State, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, describing him as a patriot with sterling leadership qualities.

Hon. Chikwe stated this, Saturday, shortly after Governor Uzodimma led 3R government empowerment ceremony at Dan Anyiam stadium during an interactive session with newsmen.

Chikwe attributed the government feat in empowering 15,000 youths to the make-up of Governor Uzodimma, saying that he is a man with a large heart.

He added that the Governor had planned out what he would do to inject life into the Imo economy by first grooming the youths and getting them equipped with entrepreneurial skills.

He said Saturday’s Empowerment flag-off was the beginning of the fulfillment of promises made by the Government of shared prosperity led by Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma.

He enumerated other areas the Governor has done well, especially in the area of infrastructure, massive road rehabilitation and reconstruction, health and youth empowerment.

He therefore called on the people of Mbaise nation and Imo State in general to give their unflinching support to Governor Uzodimma, assuring them that Imo Governor will not disappoint them.

“I am happy the people of Imo State are beginning to understand that Uzodimma’s coming was ordained by God. The purpose for which he was anointed is beginning to reflect in his policies and programmes for the people and the State.

“I also call on the youths who make up the more active demographics of the state to return this gesture by shunning activities that may cause slur in the growth and development of the state. With the magnanimity of the governor, it has made it easier for the start-ups to get busy.

“I enjoin them to also join in the campaign to roll away crimes, gun running and acts that might serve as a security threat since it can only cause retrogression in the economy and money meant for development ploughed into security projects”, he stated.
