Missing Broadcaster: Imo Police Begins Investigation Into Uma’s Whereabout

The Imo state police command has commenced investigation on the whereabout of the Reach FM presenter, Mr Sunny Uma, who was declared missing by the management of the radio station on Wednesday.

Findings by this Newspaper revealed that the leadership of the Shared Prosperity Prayer Network, (SPPN), had visited the Commissioner of Police, Abutu Yaro, Thursday, to brief him about the missing the presenter, after the General Manager of the radio station, one Mr Frank was said to have made an official complaint at the New Owerri Police Division in respect to the matter.

The police boss promised to investigate the matter and to also intensify efforts in the search for the missing journalist.

He called for support by the public to help the police with useful information about Sunny Uma.

He however enjoined the residents of the state to be mindful of where they go, adding that though the reign of unknown gunmen was over, some criminal elements are still unleashing some pockets of crime in the state, even as he assured the public that the police would continue to do its best in the protection of lives and property of Imo people.

It would be recalled that Mr Sunny Uma who left his office, the Reach FM on 2nd of this month, is yet to be seen and has not reported to his office since then.

His long absence without any communication to his colleagues in the office, friends and family members, forced the management of the radio station to declare him missing.
