The Owerri Zone APC United Kingdom Media Group, has appealed to Governor Hope Uzodimma to consider Engr Bede Opara, for appointment in his yet-to-be reconstituted cabinet.
This is contained in a letter signed by the UK president of the group, Dr Kenneth Iwuji and made available to newsmen.
The group disclosed that Engr Opara has remained a voice in the well being of Owerri zone, during his reign as Chairman of Ahiazu Mbaise chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, adding that he was among the leaders who stood vehemently for Uzodimma during the 2019 governorship election.
He noted that in Ihenweorie ward, Akabo and the entire Ahaizu Mbaise LGA, were comfortably delivered in favour of Governor Uzodimma, adding that it was the sterling control of Engr Opara in the area that gave birth to the victory recorded for APC.
Dr Iwuji further disclosed that the former APC Chairman has paid his dues in the party and being a seasoned technocrat, he would make useful contributions in the shared prosperity government if appointed by the Governor.
The spokesperson of the group who said they decided to surprise Engr Opara about his recognition, pointed out that his achievements as APC Chairman in Ahiazu Mbaise are there for people with sound mind to see, while urging other party supporters in Owerri Zone to keep faith in the ability of Governor Hope Uzodimma to bring prosperity to Imo people.
