TOPIC: THE LAW OF MOVING FORWARD
” The Lord says, “Forget what happened before. Do not think about the past. Look at the new thing I am going to do. It is already happening. Don’t you see it? I will make a road in the desert. I will make rivers in the dry land Isaiah 43: 18,19.
In the broad daylight, a man was found with his car in a ditch beside the road, people helped him out of the ditch. After he was helped, a man asked him, ” Sir, what happened? The man answered and said “I was looking in my side mirror instead of looking at the road ahead, then I found myself in the ditch”.
If you are focused on what is behind or if you are looking at the back while you are supposed to move forward, you will end in a pit.
The law of moving forward says” Disconnect from the past, focus on the future and move on with God”.
Give up all hope for the better or best, and for the bad or worse yesterday because you can not change the past, but you can only observe, visit or look over the past and move forward.
The past has only a lesson to teach, but it can not make things right or worse. But the future holds the best. If you believe, no matter how the past has been good or bad, tomorrow – the future can make it better for you.
Living in guilt may not solve the problem, it may make it worse even. Many scriptures tell us about God’s mercy and forgiveness, but only when we accept them, can they make meaning.
You may have made mistakes in the past and you are filled with guilt, today forgive yourself and pray, confessing your sins, repent and ask for God’s forgiveness. He said in His word ” I even I am he that blotteth out your transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins. Isaiah 43:25.
Let the past be past, God wants to do a new thing now for you. Believe it because its God’s word. You may have failed or be disappointed in the past, remember you can rise and succeed in the future. Old things are passed away, and now all have become new.
Move forward by faith and never be distracted by the past. Look unto Christ Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, and He will make all things new for you. Amen.

Dear heavenly Father, I thank you for forgiving my past mistakes, I hereby surrender the future to you, do a new thing today in life and situations. Dear Lord, help me to look up to you in my everyday’s journey that I may succeed in Jesus name. Amen.
