BREAKING: Reasons Senate Rejects Onochie as INEC Commissioner
The Senate on Tuesday rejected the nomination of Ms Lauretta Onochie as a National Commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The Senate also stepped down the nomination of Professor Sani Mohammad Adam (North Central) to allow for further legislative action.
This followed the consideration of the report of Senate Committee on INEC, presented by the Chairman of the Committee, Senator Kabiru Gaya.
Gaya said the Committee rejected the nomination of Onochie because there is already a National Commissioner of INEC, Mrs May Agbamuche, representing Delta State in the Commission.
Meanwhile, rejection of Onochie is not unconnected with her sheer show of desperation.
Lady Onochie, former aide to President Buhari on Social Media while facing screening had lied on various questions posed to her, especially as it concerned partisanship and membership of All Progressives Congress.
Three times, Onochie denies APC before she was drawn to her recent signatures authenticating his membership.
Onochie has also been embroiled in controversial issues ranging from smooth rein of insults at notable Nigerians.
It is left to be seen what might be done to give her a soft landing if nothing else, for her dirty rude jobs for the system.
