The Federal Government of Nigeria has renewed the appointment of Prof. Darlington Obaseki as Chief Medical Director, University of Benin Teaching Hospital, Benin, Edo State.
According to a statement on Tuesday by the hospital’s Head of Public Relations Unit, Joshua Uwaila, the CMD received the letter of appointment for his second term from the Minister of Health, Dr. Osagie Ehanire in Abuja on Monday.
Congratulating him, the minister described the renewal of his appointment by the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), as an attestation that he performed well during his first tenure.
Ehanire urged him not to rest on his oars and work harder to exceed his achievements.
Obaseki has, since his first appointment as CMD on August 17, 2017, embarked on a massive transformation of the hospital’s infrastructure and services.
