TOPIC: We can Possess the Land
“Then Caleb silenced the people before Moses and said “We should go up and take possession of the Land, for we can certainly do it” Numbers 13:30 NIV.
Caleb was among the people sent to spy the land of Canaan. When they came back, they all gave report but Caleb was different in attitude and mindset.
He was the only voice of positivity and faith in possessing the land, thus he remained firm in the good report of the land.
Caleb believed in himself even when he was alone. Caleb understood the relevance of the promise land, the benefits of the Promise land and above all the one who made the promise.
He recalled how they were rescued from slavery in Egypt and all they went through on their way out of Egypt, he had no better option than to remember that God who began the good work will perfect it.
He told his brethren, “We should go up and take possession of the land for we can certainly do it”
As a child of God, how much do you believe in God, His Power to perfect the good works he began in your academics, family, community, church and life in general?
Caleb stood boldly alone to declare with faith to his brethren we can. God is looking for Caleb in schools, churches, communities, families, peer group who can boldly stand to declare to others we can through godly character and lifestyle.
Song
Encamped along to hills of life
Ye Christian Soldiers, rise,
And Press the battle ere the night.
Shall veil the glowing skies.
Against the for in vale below
Let all our strength be hurled;
Faith is the victory, we know,
That overcomes the world.
Refrain
Faith is the Victory!
Faith is the Victory!
O, glorious victory,
That overcomes the world.
Prayer
God help us to be like Caleb, to believe in you and the victory you have granted us in Christ. Amen.
