Court Orders DSS To Release Anti-Buhari Campaigners
A Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered the Department of State Services (DSS) to release five worshippers who were apprehended at a church in Abuja on July 4 for allegedly wearing T-shirts with anti-President Muhammadu Buhari inscriptions. Ben Manasseh, Anene Udoka, Henry Nwodo, Samuel Larry and Samuel Gabriel were said to have been arrested for wearing T-shirts with the inscription “Buhari Must Go” during a Sunday service at the headquarters of Dunamis International Gospel Centre in Lugbe, Abuja.
Ruling yesterday after hearing their lawyer, Tope Temokun, Justice Anwuli Chikere ordered the DSS to release the applicants with immediate effect and adjourned further hearing till August 2.
