Covid-19 Protocol: President Buhari Exits Self-isolation Wednesday

President Muhammadu Buhari is expected to exit self imposed five-day isolation on Wednesday according to the prescribed Covid-19 protocol prescribed by Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

Nigeria’s President returned last Friday after an 18-day trip to the United Kingdom (UK) where he attended an Education Summit and subsequently went for his medical check-up.

He had to self-isolate as a precautionary measure required of all international travellers arriving in Nigeria in case they had been exposed to COVID-19.

Despite the self-isolation, the President has continued to attend to official documents including the signing of the Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB) on Monday.

“During this period, which ends on Wednesday, he will be attending to urgent and critical documents.

“It is important to note that all documents coming to Mr President are screened and sanitized with specialised equipment before and after they reach him.

“The PIB bill just signed passed through the same process.”
