Rivers Vehicle Accident: Police Officer, Two Others Feared Dead

Three persons, including a police officer, have been feared dead in an accident that occurred in Rivers State.

It was gathered a bus carrying petroleum products collided with another and burst into flames roasting some of the travelers.

Sources said the unfortunate incident occurred within Elele Alimini Community, Emohua Local Government Area.

A source, who spoke in confidence, said three of the victims were burnt beyond recognition.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Rivers Police Command, SP Nnamdi Omoni, confirmed the incident but said he had no details.

Omoni said: “I can confirm the fire incident, but I do not have much details of the incident. It’s an accident involving two vehicles.

‘’The two car collided and fire ignited. A police officer was in one the vehicles, he is receiving treatment.’’
