Anambra poll: Ohanaeze, NOA Lead Campaigns Against Vote Buying

The National Orientation Agency (NOA) and the apex Igbo socio cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, are leading campaigns against voting buying and selling, ahead of the November 6 governorship election in Anambra
State.

Ohanaeze Ndigbo said it had not endorsed any candidate from any of the parties in the governorship race.

NOA Director General Garba Abari, yesterday in Awka, warned the people to resist monetary temptation from politicians.

He advised the electorate to vote properly, to avoid invalid votes, political thuggery, election violence and ballot box snatching, among others

The NOA D-G boss was represented by the Deputy Director overseeing Political Civic, Ethnic-Value, NOA Headquarters, Abuja, Mr. Edozie Ajaegbu.

The state Director of the agency, Charles Nwoji, said NOA would carry out the campaign across the 21 local governments.

The President of Ohaneze Ndi-Igbo, Anambra State branch, Prince Emeka Odedeme, said the programme was an opportunity for the association to partner the agency to intensify campaigns across the 181 communities in the state.
