I Collapsed Because I Was Dehydrated – EFCC boss, Bawa Reveals

The Chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Abdulrasheed Bawa has revealed the reason he collapsed on Thursday at the Presidential Villa.

NewsTrack Nigeria had reported how EFCC Boss suddenly stopped speaking and collapsed when he was delivering his goodwill message at an event organized by the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC).

He was assisted by some of the dignitaries with Ali Isa Pantami, Minister of Communications and Digital Economy on hand to also help out.In his explanation, Bawa revealed that he was driven to the hospital where he was thoroughly checked and doctors he was dehydrated.

He was advised to take a lot of water.

His words:

“While giving my goodwill message during the programme organised by the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), there was a sort of dizziness on me and I had to excuse myself from the stage.”

“I went straight to the hospital where the doctors confirmed to me that everything about me is okay except for the fact that I’m a bit dehydrated and need to take a lot of water.

“Straight away from the hospital, I went back to the office and now I’m back at home.”
