Death Toll In Kaduna Villages Attacks Rises To 45

Death toll in the weekend attacks on Madamai and Kacecere villages of Kaura and Zangon Kataf local government areas of Kaduna State has risen to 45 as three more bodies were found.

The Nation had reported that 42 persons were confirmed killed in the attacks that took place in the two councils.

Kaduna State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan who led of the state government officials and senior security officers to the troubled areas yesterday, said the three bodies were recovered from the two villages.

Aruwan said, “Following the weekend attacks in Madamai and Kacecere villages of Kaura and Zangon Kataf local government areas, security agencies on Tuesday recovered three more corpses.

“According to security agencies, two corpses were recovered in Madamai while one was found in Kacecere. The search-and-rescue operation is still in progress and the government will continue to update the public.”
