South-East Rep, Karate Federation, Madumere  Vows To  Boost  Art  In  South East

Imo State former Deputy Governor and board member Karate Federation of Nigeria (KFN) , Prince Eze Madumere, has given assurances of his resolve to help promote Karate and make a household name in the South East.



Prince Madumere emerged as the South-east Zonal Representative of KFN in the recently held election and as the inauguration of the 23 Sports Federations holds today in Abuja, the frontline administrator is confident of positive turnarounds in the zone.

He said his immediate task was to reawaken the consciousness of sportsmen and women to Karate. Adding he would start his campaign to return the sport to the spotlight from the grassroots.

“Joining Karate Federation is where we can demonstrate what we can do nationally. My aim is to assist in promoting Karate especially in the South East that I am representing,” Prince Madumere stated. “We will also like to rekindle the consciousness of our people especially the young ones. We will return to the grassroots.

“We are thinking about raising talents that will represent us at the Olympics and other international competitions. My emphasis as a zonal representative in the board is to catch them young.”

He further expressed his desire to work assiduously towards the success of the KFN board to be led by Deputy Governor, Nasarawa State, Silas Agara .

He added that he decided to join the moving train of Agara to ensure that Karate becomes more popular in Nigeria and that the next few years will bring about lots of developmental strides in the sport across all the six zones.

“It was a unanimous decision to return him as our President. He did a good job at the helms the last tenure and we know he will surpass that this current one.

“We will do our best to support him as well by ensuring that Karate becomes the talk of the town in our various zones.”
