Recall that the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) through its Media & Publicity Secretary had issue “No Sit-At-Home Order for Monday but seem not to be the case as residents shut businesses and stayed at with family.

NewsTrack Nigeria checks revealed that over 90 percent of Owerri residents stayed at home.

Banks and other financial institutions, including all layers of schools were shut.

Imo State University was like a ghost town with the main gate left ajar but seemed innocent of humans.

Plying through Okigwe Road would readily instill fear as it looks as though one is being led to Golgotha.

Except entrance to government house and State Police Command, neither police officers nor any other security personnel were seen at strategic point.

With the development, it is not out of place that the people have chosen to observe day for meditation, prayers for the South East and possibly for Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the proscribed IPOB.
